An episode of the TV series Bagani became viral as people took the script out of context. There is such a thing called subliminal messages. These are figurative meanings that go beyond the normal and usual perception of a person. Sometimes, these meaning are in a completely different realm of understanding than they supposed to be ordinary connotations. There are already a lot of people who know about this concept and have started paying more attention to the deeper context of a certain phenomenon.
It takes some critical analysis and deep thinking, and a creative mind to actually notice and understand subliminal messages. This is because these meanings are so well-thought-of that they were deeply hidden behind the mask of the ordinary and usual definitions. Filipinos are very witty people. They are very quick to find several interpretations and meanings to certain things. They can even come up with their own correlations about some certain phenomenon and turn it into an amusing information.
There are even some Filipinos who call themselves as deep persons saying that they love things that aren't on the level of shallow. This is how Filipinos are and they have found a certain enjoyment in identifying and understanding what is not within the boundaries of the norm. The recent episode of Bagani made a buzz online.
A certain scene in the episode became viral because of the subliminal context of its script. The lead characters in this scene are Ganda as played by Liza Soberano, and Lakas which is portrayed by Enrique Gil.
It seems like the two characters found themselves caught up in the middle of a violent sandstorm. Luckily, they had a special cloth that they used for cover. The characters complimented the impressive quality of the cloth which was able to withstand the violence of the weather. As the two remain covered, Ganda suddenly felt like something hard was poking her. Alarmed, Lakas immediately checked, only to find out that it was just his sword.
The script of the particular episode was in Tagalog and the lines that were used for the particular scene were interpreted differently. Some of the Tagalog words used had subliminal meanings for others who were very keen to notice them. The hard thing that was poking Ganda when she said "Teka! Ano yung matigas na bagay na tumutusok sa akin Lakas?", and the sword of Lakas when he recited his line "Pasensya na, espada ko lang pala" can both mean the male private organ if taken in another context. The episode got an overwhelming amount of mixed reactions from social media users.
There were a few who thought that the script seemed like there was not much thought put into it. Some also thought that the producers are intentionally making the show's script as basic as possible with some mixed meaning into it to really catch the attention of the creative minds of viewers and perhaps to spark some discussion about the episode as well. Apart from these few minor setbacks, most of the people from the online community were sent laughing. The creative minds of the viewers really thought of several interpretations of the script of the particular scene. People find the show's script to be entertaining.
